On July 1, 2023, when 16 refugee children from Odesa left behind the horrors of war, crossing the border of Moldova with Ukraine to start a new chapter in Spain.

Odessa is currently under attack by russian troops, destroying residential areas in the capital. Many children like Yana live in the center of Odessa, they have lost their homes, abandoned schools out of fear, turning into a hostile area where they cannot experience a dignified childhood.
CHAPTER II:
Welcome at the city hall
On The reception of the 16 ukranian refugees children by the Town Hall and the Mayor of Cehegín (Murcia), a town where more foster families reside.
"Two sisters reunite. Both are being welcomed by different families."
CHAPTER III:
Yuliia & Sofiia
Yuliia and Sofiia are two refugee children whose destinies brought them together, starting a friendship. They learned to swim together; these photographs depict those moments as they floated together underwater during times of war. However, in their faces and gestures, we could sense the nostalgia for their roots.
